Prayer is a relinquishment of control

Relinquishment means letting go, and letting go is hard. Prayer is a moment of giving up one’s will for the better will of God. Fear of letting go is the reason of pride and arrogance that our will is good enough and is right. Frequently we hold on so tightly to the good that we do know that we cannot receive the greater good that we do not know.

“You will pray to him, and he will hear you, and you will fulfill your vows.”

Job 22:27
